Release 14th April 2026
Release notes
Emails
Background. The mail protocols IMAP and OAUTH (e.g. Outlook) handle attachments slightly differently. Also, it turned out that there are three different ways of attaching a file, i.e.
- method 1: explicit attachment
- method 2: inline attachment
- method 3: copy-pasted pic
The use cases to handle are accordingly 1) Read mail, 2) Send new mail, 3) Reply to mail and 4) Forward mail. These use cases have now been tested on attachments using all different methods for attaching files. Last week a partial fix was deployed into PROD supporting especially attachments in Constant Connect Outlook to/from Normal Outlook communications.
Because of certain Outlook peculiarities, following the release last week, inline attachments were duplicated in a response from a Constant Connect Outlook channel. This is now fixed with this release. Today’s patch also replicates the behavior of normal email clients when replying to a mail. Explicit attachments are no longer included in an email reply, whereas all attachments are still attached to a forwarded mail (CONST-272).
Tasks
In the content area of task tickets, there was a date which was set to NOW every time the ticket was viewed. This did not make sense and we just removed it for now, it is now similar to the call ticket.
FIXED:
- CONST-292 When forwarding a mail, the attachments do not longer follow
- CONST-272 Normal email client: on reply attachments are not included
- CONST-442 Task tickets have crazy Last updated dates
Known issues - mails and attachments
CONST-436 Drag & drop is not supported by the editor
